THE VERY FIRST VEGAN FASHION WEEK!

On:
Paris, Milan, London, New York… These are cities where the biggest fashion weeks take places every year. It is consider as very luxurious, where mostly famous tv stars and designers participate, whos products are not really affordable for an avarage human being. Now, it looks like the big fashion world is awakening. At the beggining of February in Los Angeles, the very fist Vegan Fashion Week took place.

The city has not been chosen by a coincidence – LA recently became the biggest city in America to ban the use of fur. That is a huge step in the world of fashion!

Emmanuelle Rienda, Vegan Fashion Week founder is a women, who as a vegeterian spent a few years working in fast fashion industry. She decided to leave her buissness even though it was going really well. She didn't want to sell and boost leather, wool and fur market anymore...

That’s how the idea of a vegan fashion week was born. The event is not only fashion shows, but also a chance to educate people and show them what to do to respect animals and environment more. It's not only about veganism anymore. Producers pay more and more attention to safety of their products, ability to recycle it, biodegradability and so on… 54 vegan fashion brands participated in VFW. I hope more of these will appear in Europe soon. Maybe there will be Vegan Fashion Week in Warsaw one day?
