Why did we have to raise some of the prices of our shoes and accessories?
Unfortunately, we had to raise the prices of some of our products. This solution results directly from higher production costs. Today we want to tell you a few words about why our shoes are not cheap products like in chain stores or huge shoe companies.
Our vegan shoes are made with care for innovative, environmentally friendly, high-quality materials that are designed to serve users long and well. They also come at a price. Our regular, proven suppliers have raised their prices by a dozen or even several dozen percent. For example, a microfiber supplier has raised prices twice this year, explaining this with increased energy, transportation and labor costs.
We create the offer in the store with care that the materials used do not bear the signs of suffering and any use of animals. Our products are 100% vegan, free from: angora, natural fur, animal hair, natural leather, wool and silk. The search for proven raw materials is a time-consuming and costly task. The costs of transporting materials or bringing test samples are another issue that requires additional financial outlays.
Moreover, as you know perfectly well, labor costs have increased, also in the factories of our subcontractors in Poland. The key to us is not only the ethics and origin of materials, but also the work ethic and the people who work for us. Our shoes and accessories are produced locally and ethically in Poland, in accordance with the provisions of Polish and European labor law, protection against discrimination and OHS. We work with 3 plants, most of which are small family businesses employing a small number of employees.
All products available in our store are made with respect for human rights and human dignity. The cost of the labor devoted to the production of each item is a significant part of its final price, not around 2% as in the fast slavery mod.
The idea behind Fairma is, and always will be, to offer wholesome, honestly made products to love. Especially now, in the face of the economic and ecological crisis, we encourage you to make thoughtful purchases that have nothing to do with excessive consumption. We invite you to support local companies and entrepreneurs who have a similar mission - they care about ethics and conduct activities responsible towards people and the planet.
